Her Eggs Were Safe
Mother Wren’s nest felt heavier today
She wondered about this as she flew away
When she looked back she saw the hang on faeries
They were watching her eggs, among the holiday berries.
Mother Wren felt grateful, she was thrilled with this scene.
She knew they had been sent by her comrade the wren-loving queen.
She flew off to get food, feeling happy that her eggs were safe.
Under the jurisdiction of the head protector faerie, named Rafe.
