Helplessness

I’m helpless in the face of your pain, Useless completely and unable To comfort you, trying to remain Delicate, and subtle, and careful. I’d like to invent a magic cure For your sorrow, but I’m no sage. I can’t believe and can’t endure The impossibility of any change. And I’d like to be a good fairy Fetching a jug of rainbow water Washing off your grief and misery, Giving you the wonderful nectar. I still feel the sharp pain in my heart Weeping doleful tears though it’s aimless. I can really do nothing on my part, I’m so sorry for the helplessness…
