Helpless
you ask me nice and plainly
are you OK
how are you today
i want to globally comprehensively scream
but in a low and quiet sounding voice
i do not lie
but simply and clearly say
the best I can
for what good would it do
to trouble you in anyway
i will not fluster your heart
i will not make your eyes see
so to simply say
i can not truly say
only that i am helpless
in musical differences
so thank you again
for your concern
but please do not
ask about my
affording security or my protection
for there is none
