Helpful Rain

If I could cry, I would today Like the rain that falls on this cold spring day Drip drop, drip drop: puts me at ease The sky is soaking up my sorrow and crying for me Why can't the sun be just as effective? Soak it up and dry it out, like a sorrow soaking towel Instead of soaking up and pouring down Right back on top of my brow So pour me a hot cup of honey tea And I'll sit at my window and watch my sorrow rain over me
