Help

Love was great, right from the start
What more could we ask of this affair
Living joyously with happy hearts
Believing we had not a care

Suddenly things began to swirl
I watched as you lost control
Curling up like a little girl
Not allowing me to console

I want to help, lend some aid
I want to absorb some of the pain
Don’t understand why you’re afraid
All this trying is just in vain

I gave it all till there was no more
I drained my body of all resource
Now I’m crawling on the floor
Hit after hit of mental force

You took my entire life from me
All that’s left is a hollow shell
Listen to my final plea
Don’t leave me alone in this state of hell
