Hellion

Soaked with devil’s breath The sunset captures the lonely Tassels that whip wildly As the sky softens Puddles dry from hells heat Burning wickedly A familiar cackle rips you sober Before more wasted delusions flow Glued mirrors hang Twinkling shards cut the shadows Stars fade into silhouettes Broken wishes pierce the weak Time vanishes as her skin melts away He smoked out the night watchers She peels off the sweat stains Hellion winks her way Lament the daylight ‘Till it slips away Bleed tortured heartache Ignoring the silent waves Tug the anchor Drag you along the floor Does he sing her name or muffle it’s meaning Hooded by compulsion, he signed blue
