Notes About The Poem

Hell Cat Queen

Hell Cat Queen Oh, Mayling Lou dearest, my heart’s elation On Halloween you’ll be a possessed abomination Neither purr nor mew pussyfooting Boo! You are tonight’s sweet spooky sensation! ‘Tis you I love kitty, dark Mayling Lou Your surreptitious sly purrs make a goddess of you But come Halloween You’re my hell cat queen Your love and friendship I both cherish and rue
by Robert Gorelick
I love you too, but tonight is the night I sit on a broomstick, holding on tight Flying behind a witch To satisfy an itch Don’t wait up, hell cat’s gonna be alright

Dear Robert, this is so beautiful and so creative and somehow it is also very touching! I love also how beryls response is so fitting for the first limerick. Hell cat queen! Thats so very creative: i also love the lines “On Halloween you’ll be a possessed abomination Neither purr nor mew pussyfooting Boo! You are tonight’s sweet spooky sensation!” The alliterations and wordplay is so fitting for the halloween mood, pleasure reading this~ sending you light always

I agree with Michael. I see Beryl's too! Perfect for Dia De Los Muertos. Queen's rule whether kind or evil. RG

Poetry at its best here Robert. You have captured a transformation from Goddess to Hell Cat. If only Chrysler could have Mayling Lou as their official Hell Cat representing in the Hell Cat Demon line of Sports car. I can picture the pictures you shared painted on the Sports car. She owns the night especially on Halloween. Clever theme, great Poem, and pictures show cases your Darling by day and Hell Cat by night. Enjoyed reading my friend, thank you for sharing...
