One area in the Atlanta, Ga. region. They had several creeks out of their banks with flooding. Trees down with destruction, etc. A terrible accident happened on the interstate up there involving some kind of service truck or service equipment.

UPSON

11:19 a.m. - EMA Director Richard Hickmon says there were a few trees down, but those have been cleared. There are no injuries reported, and no structural damage, he said. This is the area where I live.

Eye of storm Slight adjustment east Just enough For me; now I know God kept me so safe From harms awful reach Then God spoke That is a selfish thought Others prayed As well too Thirty-five died and some hurt Did they not pray, Sara? I'm wrestling God, help me out here One cousin Who lives more In its path, You protected I remember now I prayed for Our whole family But others Prayed as well I am sure that they did pray Well, maybe they didn't

So glad to hear you and your family weathered Helene's wrath OK, Sara. Am praying for the families who lost loved ones and for those still missing. Also praying for Hurricane Milton to weaken before he makes landfall in Florida. My family and I and our house made it through, praise Jesus for all of our fortunate outcomes.

Regina, it has been so sad to see the families that are hurting from the impact of Helene and now Florida is pelted by another storm, but it is good to see so many leaving until the storm passes. I know they are worrying about what they will find when they go back home. Thanks for dropping by . Sara K

IE, I live in Georgia. The storm was predicted to come nearly center of Georgia, but the path changed to slightly east of center which kept us out of the worst of it. We got wind and rain, but not as bad as predicted. We got gust up to probably 40 mph where they had predicted 60 to 80 which is a big difference. Thanks for the kind review. Sara K

We don’t understand the mystery of prayer but know that indeed God hears us (and most certainly when we are His). Perhaps and most assuredly in death, in trouble and sorrows, God is doing precious work. Great write…surely not outside the vision of psalms that speaks even in angst. Hugs!!!!!!

Kim, God is there, and He is working for sure. God uses people to come on the scene and help with the aftereffects. I am sure there is something that we could do as people of the world to try to fix our situation so the earth would be a friendlier place. Thanks for the visit. Sara K

I enjoyed reading your "Helene" write. Storms can be so sad/deadly. Over the years I have been in some bad ones. One time my dad opened the car door/water came out. Have a blessed day/weekend........................

Paula, we are blessed that we have not experienced the same experience that your father did. In the flood of 1994, we had some damage to our pool and our basement, but no loss or life or injuries. God was looking after us at that time. Sara K
