Heavy Music

The boys have formed a Rock Group Whilst Liam plays guitar He hopes he'll reach the doors of fame And so, become a super star Brendan, he does play the drums He loves to feel that beat "I did not know they played so well' With amazement, spoke our Pete But Vera wasn't too impressed She said "that's far too heavy" I do wish that they would play Some sweet stuff just for me

Vera: Maybe you should become their vocalist. You'd have more influence as an "insider" on their choice of songs. :o) I enjoyed this but agree, I'm not much for this new "music". Thanks for sharing with all of us on the soup. oldbuck

Thank you Old Buck, actually our youngest 41 year old son is a drummer in a band and oh boy you should hear the music he plays, it is awful grunge stuff, horrible and I have a bother who is a singer in a band and it the dead opposite, beautiful 1960's etc, I am very picky as to what I like, take care......Vera

Peter says they play so well and you think it sounds like hell. :) WELL, :) I certainly agree with you. Music is meant to feed the soul, not make you want to scream and yell. :)

Oh I totally agree Robert, give me the 50's and 60's music any day, I know it makes me sound old but who cares at least you can sing to it, Brendan is our 41 year old son who is the drummer in this band, one day he will grow up, thank you for the comment and take care........Vera

Enjoying reading this poem again, Vera; it has a lovely flow to it. I am sure that they would play some soothing music for you if you were to charm them with a warm smile :) Regards // paul

Thank you for reading my poem again Paul, no they will not play anything nice for me, I don't think they know how, I often say to my son when are you going to give it up but he is a 40 year old teenager, maybe one day he will surprise us, it's his wife I feel sorry for, take care my friend........Vera

I totally agree Vera. I like a tune rather than bang, bang, bang and screaming. To me heavy metal sounds more like a fight than music. Great job. A seven from me. God Bless and Merry Christmas. JB

Thank you for agreeing with me Judy, our son is 40 years old and a big kid at heart, he plays the most horrible music, but as I say to everyone maybe he will grow up one day, in fact at the moment we are playing some beautiful relaxing classical music, anyway my dear I would like to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas, god bless........Vera

Yes I usually put the same poem on all sites, simply because I don't write that often and yes I sure do keep out of earshot otherwise it would drive me mad, thank you for commenting on both sites Andrea, it is always lovely to hear from you, take care......Vera

That is funny, though! If it's grunge they play then I'm on your side! Haha. I like my blues and Rock! Won't they play a ballad or two for you? Great write, Vera.

Thanks Rick, I wouldn't even bother to ask them, I could just imagine what it would sound like, Brendan is our son and he has been playing drums since he was about 9 years old and he is now 40, one day maybe he will grow up and his music will change, even his wife hates what he plays, thank you so much for reading my friend and take care......Vera
