Heaven's Invitation

God came May the 15th,
And took Aaron in His arms.
He took his little soul,
  Away from earthly harm.

A beautiful bundle of joy,
  Quickly turned to tears.
And pieces of my grief,
  Are hidden through the years.

His short-lived life,
  Sadly broke my heart.
Six and a half years ago,
  He began his heavenly embark.

One day we’ll meet in Heaven,
  And reunite in celebration.
Until then, I will muster on,
  Until I receive Heaven’s invitation.

Robin, these are for you,
I hope you like what I've written.
My best friend was murdered,
and it is still fresh on my mind.
It's only been 2 years,
And I remember it like yesterday.
Take care and Happy Holidays...Raul

This one to brought tears to my eyes and I would like to say how sorry I am that you have lost your best friend to such a senseless unforgivable act friendship is so very priceless and to Robin I'm truely sorry for your loss as well yes time does help to heal and what helps me with the loss of my grandfather a few years ago and both grandmothers several years ago is the fact I know they are all watching looking over my family and they are in peace God bless

Tragic and heartbreaking my friend... it's bad enough to lose a friend to natural causes; to lose him/her to murder must be doubly unbearable... I am so sorry. God bless, Keith

That's so awfully sad about your friend. Death is hard enough to deal with, but when it's caused intentionally by another human being, it's truly unbearable. Beautiful thoughts expressed in a lovely poem. I like the last line in particular. ~Juliane

Raul, this is perfect in every way. I am so sorry to hear that your friend was murdered. What a terrible tragedy. Death is hard enough to accept but senseless killing is tougher. Time does help but getting there is the hard part. Such a shame there is so much hate and crime in the world. If there were more people like you and so many others on this site the world would truly be a better place. You have such a big heart. I can't thank you enough for all your kindness & caring words. Love Robin
