Heavenly Tears

Dark clouds gathered in the west
the wind whipped and howled
the sky shed thousands of tears
as hunger crouched on the ground below
crying continued though out the afternoon
as the hungry bowls were fed
moist wet tears slowly subsided
only to come rushing back again
these tears from the heaven
eventually ceased
satisfying the thirst of the land.

"Someone told me long ago. There's a calm before the storm. I know. It's been coming for some time" The rain is always welcome, Mrs Phyllis:)

It seems we're always needing "tears" on our land, but I all too well know about those black clouds in the west. Lovely poem, Phyllis.
