Heaven Is Our Goal

Teach us how short our life is,
so that we may become wise.

Sometimes we need to be reminded that
Heaven is our goal.
Heaven is not far from us—out there in
the great beyond, light years away;
But it’s as close as the wink of an eye,
Just one blink
The flick of a finger
A fleeting glance
One breath
A single heartbeat
One moment in time
A tick without the tock
And voila! We’ll be there.
In the twinkling of an eye
We will pass from earth to heaven.
Our loved ones can’t come back to us,
but we can go to them.
But each of us must be ready.

Teach us how short our life is,
so that we may become wise.
