Heat Wave ‘06
Melting into the skyline
prosperation to fill the salty seas
some are to frail to handle it
they fall down upon their knees
ten days and growing
100-117
global warming
it’s no longer an insane dream
ice caps fading
into the ocean as well
I wonder just how much hotter it can be
in hell.
Power outages, the grids can’t take the drain
frying eggs on the sidewalks
just like our brains.
Sitting in Phoenix
or down in LA
there is no escape
from this heat coming our way
they say by the week end it will cool down some
but I wonder if we will make it to that time
where we can relax and be cool
at a cold frigid 99.
