Heart-Heavy
Its as easy as breathing
When it comes to you and me.
With damage done, the pain is easing.
What the future holds, is for us to see.
So much felt in so little time
You had me from the start.
Making this old heart sublime.
You ran through my defense- you tore it apart.
It happened so fast I couldn't react.
Nor could it be stopped
That feelings for you were a matter of fact.
My heart was empty, before these feelings enveloped.
It makes me feel light as though I were floating
But this heart, heavy with emotion
For Its you who I'm a-doting
Keeps me anchored like simple harmonic motion
It's plain to see
That we were made to be
Because we flow like the ocean and sea
This, I decree,
To my sweet baby pea,
Is a guarantee.
