Heartbroken

I trace your absence In the hush of midnight’s sigh, your laughter haunts the empty air, Each whisper a wound and a lullaby. My tears fall like silent art, A testament to love that burned too bright— But in this echo of shattered dreams, I feel the strength within the sting. Fragments of us remain in every breath, A garden of could-have-been watered by tears— Heartbreak may fracture, but it doesn’t end: From these shards, hope learns to mend.

Hi Jay--your poem is poignant and spoke to me of a deep sadness and pain. I especially liked the last two lines. Hope you're well....good to 'speak' again on PS, Sara

Sometimes the lessons learned through heartbreak make the hurt worth it, my friend. I think this may be for a contest. If so, good luck! Bill
