Angela Crabtree Poet Couplet

Heartbreaker

Feminine nature and dominant speed
sweet surrender and excessive in need

Empty pages of frivolous lore
navigation necessary to explore

Breaking the tide neglecting the heart
shallow from fear still she did impart

Polished and bright in the evenings allure
insensitive design and intentions impure

Gladly they wait for her exquisite retreats
haughty she'll watch as she slides in the sheets

Fine set of couplets though. ~~ Angela Crabtree October 11, 2020 at 10:17 AM It's not supposed to be. I used the write songs many years ago and their structure is not as critical as poetry. This was originally turning down the sheet, but was considered a cliche. So, I changed it to pulling down the sheet which changes some of the meaning. Thank you, Victor for reading and commenting.
