HEART THAT TRIUMPHS IN THE LORD WHO REDEEMS US FROM ADVERSITY
Our heart triumphs in the Lord Who redeems us from adversity and vanity
As well as from our earthly futility so empty
By His holiness purging our sin-impurity
Along His righteous verity.
Our heart triumphs in the Lord Who redeems us from adversity and selfishness
As well as from our pride-inflicted guiltiness
By His mercies forgiving our confessed haughtiness
Along His loving kindness.
Our heart triumphs in the Lord Who redeems us from adversity and arrogance
As well as from our worthless extravagance
By His grace causing our deliverance
Along His secured assurance.
Our heart triumphs in the Lord Who redeems us from adversity and transgression
As well as from our idolatrous abomination of evil perversion
By His sanctification cleansing our corruption with His truth’s persuasion
Along His awesome compassion toward our genuine conversion.
Our heart triumphs in the Lord Who redeems us from adversity and jealousy
As well as from our enviousness-fervency
By His clemency working in our leniency
Along His gentle persistency.
Our heart triumphs in the Lord Who redeems us from adversity and backsliding
As well as from our destructive world-minding
By His Word correcting our humanism-attending
Along His purposive life-building.
Our heart triumphs in the Lord Who redeems us from adversity and disgrace
As well as from our faithlessness in running the Christian race
By His strength driving our ministry-engagement all the days
Along His inspiring cheerfulness always.
