HEART THAT THANKS GOD WHO HEARS OUR PRAYER

April 28 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on 2Kings 20-22

Key Verse – 2Kings 20:5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

HEART THAT THANKS GOD WHO HEARS OUR PRAYER Our heart thanks God Who hears our prayer--- As He considers our meditation By giving ear to our words of supplication Truly hearkening unto the voice of our cry and lamentation Indeed, listening to us in our plight’s intention. Our heart thanks God Who hears our prayer--- As He directs our choices By guiding us to look up against curses Truly bringing us to His pleasure that blesses Indeed, pulling us away from wicked places. Our heart thanks God Who hears our prayer--- As He drives our faithfulness By propelling us to come into His righteousness Truly guiding us through His counsels’ truthfulness Indeed, compassing us with His favor’s pleasantness. Our heart thanks God Who hears our prayer--- As He heals our sin-ailment By forgiving us along His mercy’s fulfillment Truly rebuking us not in His anger’s sentiment Indeed, delivering us from spoiling with His loving chastisement. Our heart thanks God Who hears our prayer--- As He pardons our iniquity By cleansing us of our transgressions’ infirmity Truly sanctifying us from evil’s enmity Indeed, purifying us with His holiness’ purity. Our heart thanks God Who hears our prayer--- As He visits our stewardship By attending to us through His sovereign partnership Truly communing with us around His fellowship Indeed, helping us to serve Him well by His leadership. Our heart thanks God Who hears our prayer--- As He strengthens our trust in Him by His might By teaching us to conquer unbelief’s blight Truly instilling in us His doctrine of heavenly height Indeed, imparting to us to walk by faith, not by sight.

Dear Beata, There’s always something beautiful and steadying about the way you build these meditations, each stanza like another rung on a ladder of trust. What I appreciate is how you let repetition become a kind of devotion in itself, almost like the heart practicing gratitude until it becomes muscle memory. A wonderful devout and faithful piece. Now I am ready to start my day. Blessings, Daniel
