HEART THAT SUBMITS TO THE LORD AND HIS PURPOSE
August 2 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Isaiah 23-27
Key Verse – Isaiah 23:9 The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.
HEART THAT SUBMITS TO THE LORD AND HIS PURPOSE
Our heart submits to the Lord and His purpose toward our restoration
For our soul-health’s fortification
To withstand debilitating condition
In facing challenging opposition.
Our heart submits to the Lord and His purpose toward our cleansing
For our sin-wounds’ dressing
To flee from attacking transgressing
In overcoming devouring evil’s oppressing.
Our heart submits to the Lord and His purpose toward our holiness
For our iniquity-bruises’ cure-fullness
To conquer alluring temptation-heaviness
In abiding within His transforming righteousness.
Our heart submits to the Lord and His purpose toward our encouragement
For our faith-wellness’ empowerment
To win against frustrating engagement
In accepting correcting chastisement.
Our heart submits to the Lord and His purpose toward our comfort
For our sorrow-travail’s gladness-resort
To fight vexing mourning retort
In moving on against lamenting report.
Our heart submits to the Lord and His purpose toward our care
For our heart-mirth’s welfare
To enjoy satisfying compassion-share
In fulfilling marching mandate-dare.
Our heart submits to the Lord and His purpose toward our peace-sufficiency
For our spirit-revival’s fervency
To serve with upholding stewardship-efficiency
In continuing with His abounding mercy.
