HEART THAT SETTLES PEACEFULLY IN THE ZEAL OF THE LORD
Our heart settles peacefully in the zeal of the Lord against discouragement
So that we can surmount with faith trials’ entrapment
As steadfast saints by His presence of mighty empowerment
Never more to wallow in frustration-sentiment.
Our heart settles peacefully in the zeal of the Lord against dissatisfaction
So that we can overcome worldliness’ vexation
As fortunate heirs by His salvation of assured redemption
Never more to complain with discontentment-reaction.
Our heart settles peacefully in the zeal of the Lord against dishonesty
So that we can resist cheating’s intensity
As converted believers by His forgiveness of gracious authority
Never more to struggle midst righteousness-certainty.
Our heart settles peacefully in the zeal of the Lord against disturbance
So that we can conquer fear’s dominance
As valiant soldiers by His strength of strong endurance
Never more to cower because of fright-grievance.
Our heart settles peacefully in the zeal of the Lord against disrespect
So that we can subdue humanism’s intellect
As transformed learners by His guidance of wise aspect
Never more to ponder midst vanity-retrospect.
Our heart settles peacefully in the zeal of the Lord against distress
So that we can rejoice over gloom’s duress
As jubilant Christians by His sovereignty of supreme fortress
Never more to linger in failure-stress.
Our heart settles peacefully in the zeal of the Lord against dismay
So that we can move on from downfall’s delay
As repentant sinners by His pardon of merciful way
Never more to compromise in worldliness-array.
