Our heart seeks the Lord Who rains righteousness upon us over our sinfulness…
So gracious is His welcoming goodness
Beyond transgressions’ awfulness
For us to respond with worshipfulness.
Our heart seeks the Lord Who rains righteousness upon us over our misbehaviour…
So merciful is His transforming endeavour
Beyond stubbornness’ fervour
For us to surrender with submission to the Saviour.
Our heart seeks the Lord Who rains righteousness upon us over our hesitation…
So forceful is His encouraging exhortation
Beyond inability’s reaction
For us to follow with determination.
Our heart seeks the Lord Who rains righteousness upon us over our inconsistency…
So ready is His accommodating clemency
Beyond work-ethics’ complacency
For us to serve with persistency.
Our heart seeks the Lord Who rains righteousness upon us over our fright…
So effective is His empowering might
Beyond cowardice’s sight
For us to obey with courage-fight.
Our heart seeks the Lord Who rains righteousness upon us over our timidity…
So available is His guiding authority
Beyond weakness’ tenacity
For us to stand with humility.
Our heart seeks the Lord Who rains righteousness upon us over our downfall…
So gentle is His inviting call
Beyond frustrations’ gall
For us to continue with victory along faith’s hall.
