HEART THAT SEEKS THE HOLINESS OF THE LORD
Our heart seeks the holiness of the Lord midst His presence
Upon assured salvation along spiritual growth’s essence
Against hindrances due to worldliness’ iridescence
So that we can walk on paths of righteous fluorescence.
Our heart seeks the holiness of the Lord midst His commandment
Upon sanctification-purged prayer engagement
Against distractions due to personal business’ entanglement
So that we can benefit from His great fellowship’s divine endowment.
Our heart seeks the holiness of the Lord midst His wise instruction
Upon doctrines toward truth’s application
Against unbelief due to lack of discretion and circumspection
So that we can mature in Bible principles for our steadfast conviction.
Our heart seeks the holiness of the Lord midst His eyes
Upon triumphant vision in His perfect will’s paradise
Against obscurity due to materialism with its carnality-disguise
So that we can focus on His precepts for our faith to increase and rise.
Our heart seeks the holiness of the Lord midst His guidance
Upon faithful stewardship full of blessings’ abundance
Against struggles due to pride and selfishness’ attendance
So that we can strive for His approval along carnality’s avoidance.
Our heart seeks the holiness of the Lord midst His victory
Upon grateful praises of worship’s glory
Against hardships due to attacks of sin-caused misery
So that we can succeed by His grace in sharing His Gospel story.
Our heart seeks the holiness of the Lord midst His light
Upon humble submission toward divine flight
Against temptations trying to stain testimony with error-blight
So that we can pray fervently in His might.
