Our heart rests in the Lord along life’s journey as we pray…
Yes, to pray without ceasing while in His plan we stay
Through His answering grace of no delay
And satisfying provisions along servanthood’s way.
Our heart rests in the Lord along life’s journey as we stand…
Yes, to stand for Scriptural principles’ demand
Through His upholding hand
And guarding security midst worldly band.
Our heart rests in the Lord along life’s journey as we go…
Yes, to go toward His will where we spiritually grow
Through His nourishing Word that makes us divinely glow
And nurturing love from where His blessings flow.
Our heart rests in the Lord along life’s journey as we fight…
Yes, to fight against unrighteousness and its sinful blight
Through His strengthening might
And assuring battle-victory of truth and light.
Our heart rests in the Lord along life’s journey as we labor…
Yes, to labor in His work of heavenly endeavor
Through His overtaking blessings midst ministry-rigor
And refreshing rejuvenation of comfort’s succor.
Our heart rests in the Lord along life’s journey as we worship…
Yes, to worship Him while in blissful fellowship
Through His delighting presence in His offered friendship
And compassionate leadership in our stewardship.
Our heart rests in the Lord along life’s journey as we share…
Yes, to share His love that grants eternal salvation welfare
Through His redeeming blood with His sacrifice so great, not just rare
And glorious future beyond evil scare.
