HEART THAT RESPONDS TO THE LORD WHO LOVES US
Our heart responds to the Lord Who loves us midst our struggle
As His hand embraces us within His loving snuggle
Thus, freeing us from our confessed sin-guilt wriggle
And extricating our soul against reproaches’ wiggle.
Our heart responds to the Lord Who loves us midst our prayer-plight
As His kindness cares for us despite our blight
Thus, answering us from His abode of bright light
And cheering our spirit against trials’ fright.
Our heart responds to the Lord Who loves us midst our trial
As His Word strengthens us in truth-denial
Thus, driving us from temptation-dial
And propelling our faith against bitterness-betrayal.
Our heart responds to the Lord Who loves us midst our suffering
As His grace cherishes us with divine nurturing
Thus, protecting us from evil torturing
And guarding our sacrifices against selfish venturing.
Our heart responds to the Lord Who loves us midst our persecution
As His mercy comforts us with His inspiration
Thus, reviving us from hardship’s dysfunction
And rejuvenating our commitment toward service-fruition.
Our heart responds to the Lord Who loves us midst our sorrow
As His compassion fortifies us to face hopeful tomorrow
Thus, healing us from wounds inflicted by transgression-arrow
And securing our future with joyous well-being marrow.
Our heart responds to the Lord Who loves us midst our travail
As His faithfulness restores us whenever we acknowledge that we fail
Thus, encouraging us from frustration-driving wail
And exhorting our stewardship to continue despite limitation-ail.
