HEART THAT RESPECTS THE LORD WHO DWELLS AMONG HIS CHILDREN
Our heart respects the Lord Who dwells among us, His children, with His mercy
While our faith rests in Him along our trust’s persistency…
He keeps in His satisfaction’s sufficiency
So that we can focus on eternal pursuits, not on temporal endeavour’s urgency.
Our heart respects the Lord Who dwells among us, His children, with His compassion
While our love for Him is tested against sin’s oppression…
He keeps us in His forgiveness’ peace along our honest confession
So that we can stay in His will, following Him through Scriptural vision.
Our heart respects the Lord Who dwells among us, His children, with His kindness
While our obedience to Him conquers carnal fearfulness…
He keeps us in His Word’s faithfulness
So that we can abound in His service-opportunities filled with heavenly worthiness.
Our heart respects the Lord Who dwells among us, His children, with His understanding
While our knowledge of Him is increasing midst revelation’s unfolding…
He keeps us in His wisdom’s bonding
So that we can view divine glory upon salvation-standing.
Our heart respects the Lord Who dwells among us, His children, with His guidance
While our gratitude to Him expresses our prayerfulness-attendance…
He keeps us in His grace-abundance
So that we can behold effective stewardship against diligence-avoidance.
Our heart respects the Lord Who dwells among us, His children, with His covenant
While our vow toward Him overcomes fruitlessness and being stagnant…
He keeps us in His pardon’s presence, righteously dominant
So that we can expect powerful revival, subduing pride so repugnant.
Our heart respects the Lord Who dwells among us, His children, with His light
While our servanthood depends on His might…
He keeps us in His workmanship’s security against slothfulness’ blight
So that we can labour with Him along His partnership in ministry-delight.
