August 29 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Lamentations 4-5
Key Verse – Lamentations 4:11 The LORD hath accomplished his fury; he hath poured out his fierce anger, and hath kindled a fire in Zion, and it hath devoured the foundations thereof.
HEART THAT RELIES ON THE LORD AND HIS ACCOMPLISHMENT
Our heart relies on the Lord and His accomplishment in our suffering…
For our soul to trust His nurturing
Since He protects us from sins’ torturing
Making us strong with Biblical truth-bearing.
Our heart relies on the Lord and His accomplishment in our sorrow…
For our security to rely on Him in our tomorrow
Since He guards us from Satan’s arrow
Making us cheerful as we spiritually grow.
Our heart relies on the Lord and His accomplishment in our scarcity…
For our mind to believe in His supplying authority
Since He pulls us from doubts’ infirmity
Making us contented as we suffice ourselves with His abundant bounty.
Our heart relies on the Lord and His accomplishment in our spoilage…
For our service to prosper by His wisdom-vantage
Since He hinders us from slothfulness’ bondage
Making us productive with fruitful stewardship-courage.
Our heart relies on the Lord and His accomplishment in our struggles…
For our spirit to abide in His principles
Since He delivers us from worldliness’ tangles
Making us triumphant with heavenly gladness-sizzles.
Our heart relies on the Lord and His accomplishment in our selfishness…
For our pride to surrender to His graciousness
Since He rescues us from haughtiness’ perilousness
Making us humble as we worship Him with sincerity-gratefulness.
Our heart relies on the Lord and His accomplishment in our sacrifices…
For our faith to depend on His promises
Since He covers us from guiltiness’ curses
Making us assured with His warm fellowship-embraces.
