HEART THAT PUTS OUR FAITH IN GOD WHO CALLS US HIS CHILDREN
Our heart puts our faith in God Who calls us His children against evil source
That comes from carnality’s force---
We stay in His Biblical course
Surely desiring to be holy through the standards He does endorse.
Our heart puts our faith in God Who calls us His children against sin’s bad effect
That speaks of imperfect human nature with character defect---
We declare His truth, and falsity detect
Surely praying to be sincere, being His own whom He does righteously protect.
Our heart puts our faith in God Who calls us His children against wickedness’ shame
That brings embarrassment’s flame---
We avoid worldly game
Surely choosing to be honest while His praise we exclaim.
Our heart puts our faith in God Who calls us His children against error’s detriment
That starts with guilt along afflicted sentiment---
We pursue toward earnest commitment-fulfillment
Surely endeavouring to be strong by His steadfast redemption-settlement.
Our heart puts our faith in God Who calls us His children against pride’s consequence
That exposes unwillingness of subtle disobedience---
We labour with service-caused diligence
Surely submitting to His will of perfection-insistence.
Our heart puts our faith in God Who calls us His children against illness’ affliction
That irritates spirituality and vanquishes joy of salvation---
We triumph over selfishness-inviting temptation
Surely remaining calm through His peace-endued forgiveness-function.
Our heart puts our faith in God Who calls us His children against worldliness-filthiness
That offends godliness to promote idolatry’s wickedness---
We flee from lustfulness along its unworthiness
Surely repenting whenever we are drawn toward hypocritical zealousness.
