HEART THAT PRAISES THE LORD FOR HIS MARVELOUS WORKS
Our heart praises the Lord for His marvelous works of wisdom-gain
Surely enriching us with spirituality’s reign
As we forsake foolishness of deceit that is vain
And receive His counsel within His guiding domain.
Our heart praises the Lord for His works of heavenly wondrousness
Surely enabling us to abide in His holiness
As we depart from sinfulness
And advance in His graciousness.
Our heart praises the Lord for His marvelous works of sovereign perfection
Surely allowing us to enjoy His assurance of salvation
As we overcome doubts’ destruction
And learn from His truth-propped instruction.
Our heart praises the Lord for His marvelous works of functional prudence
Surely welcoming us into His compassionate providence
As we turn away from pride’s arrogance of selfishness-evidence
And love His Word anchored upon eternal credence.
Our heart praises the Lord for His marvelous works of everlasting inheritance
Surely propelling us to exercise Scriptural repentance
As we refuse flattery’s substance
And obtain His commendable acceptance.
Our heart praises the Lord for His marvelous works of magnificent fulfillment
Surely exhorting us to share His Gospel for kingdom advancement
As we thank Him for His ready empowerment
And serve by His grace along eternal enrichment.
Our heart praises the Lord for His marvelous works of great leadership
Surely guiding us for ministry pursuits with His partnership
As we enjoy doing His will around His fellowship
And claim His victory in our stewardship, discipleship and worship.
