HEART THAT PRAISES THE LORD FOR HIS KINDNESS
Our heart praises the Lord for His kindness…
While we seek Him and His presence
Making our faith alive midst miracle-license
Toward doing His command against slothfulness-prevalence
So that we will not sulk in bitterness’ silence.
Our heart praises the Lord for His kindness…
While we rely on Him and on His power
Making our testimony shine midst unrighteousness-tower
Toward living in His ways against evil-sower
So that we will not play with holy pursuits’ blower.
Our heart praises the Lord for His kindness…
While we trust Him and His provision
Making our prayerfulness strong midst discouraging situation
Toward believing His Word against perversion
So that we will not depart from Bible’s instruction.
Our heart praises the Lord for His kindness…
While we obey Him and His precepts
Making our conviction steadfast midst worldliness’ concepts
Toward supporting His work against arrogance that intercepts
So that we will not compromise with atheistic doctrine that an unbeliever accepts.
Our heart praises the Lord for His kindness…
While we rest in Him and in His peacefulness
Making our spirit revived midst soul’s calmness
Toward learning from His Scriptures against ignorance-propped deceitfulness
So that we will not fall into the pit of vain foolishness.
Our heart praises the Lord for His kindness…
While we stay in Him and in His purity
Making our devotion sanctified midst filthiness’ infirmity
Toward abiding in His fellowship’s warmth against coldness-tranquility
So that we will not flirt with alluring iniquity.
Our heart praises the Lord for His kindness…
While we prioritize Him and His kingdom
Making our commitment strong midst prevailing boredom
Toward serving for His glory against selfishness of no real freedom
So that we will not regret in chasing worldly success, devoid of Biblical wisdom.
