HEART THAT PRAISES GOD WHO GIVES SONGS TO US
Our heart praises God Who gives songs to us along His instruction
As we revere Him with sincere devotion
And attend to know understanding’s function
Amidst His good doctrine’s presentation.
Our heart praises God Who gives songs to us along His teaching
As we listen to Him with interested truth-searching
And retain His words for soul out-reaching
Amidst His firm principles’ preaching.
Our heart praises God Who gives songs to us along His wisdom
As we strive toward His heavenly kingdom
And keep His commandments always, not seldom
Amidst His granted spirit’s freedom.
Our heart praises God Who gives songs to us along His grace-ornament
As we honour Him through our commitment
And exalt His name magnified in His testament
Amidst His satisfying contentment’s fulfillment.
Our heart praises God Who gives songs to us along His deliverance
As we obey Him against towering arrogance
And receive His sayings of divine elegance
Amidst His right path’s assurance.
Our heart praises God Who gives songs to us along His glory
As we follow Him while departing from sins’ misery
And abide in His holiness while sharing His Gospel story
Amidst His established plan’s victory.
Our heart praises God Who gives songs to us along His light
As we serve Him around His fellowship’s delight
And testify about His lovingkindness of merciful might
Amidst His timely answers for our prayer-plight.
