HEART THAT PRAISES AND THANKS GOD
Our heart praises and thanks God for saving us from spiritual poverty
Toward divine prosperity
Along His salvation-security
For us to be enriched with His life’s eternal bounty.
Our heart praises and thanks God for raising us up from despair
Toward rejuvenating soul-repair
Along His fellowship’s care
For us to be cheered up with His compassion-welfare.
Our heart praises and thanks God for lifting us up from affliction
Toward forgiveness-filled restoration
Along His salvation’s protection
For us to be healed with His pardon’s sanctification.
Our heart praises and thanks God for upholding us from loneliness
Toward glad blissfulness
Along His joy’s graciousness
For us to be inspired with His presence-faithfulness.
Our heart praises and thanks God for teaching us from ignorance
Toward wise deliverance
Along His truth’s endurance
For us to be enlightened with His precepts’ assurance.
Our heart praises and thanks God for nourishing us from discontentment
Toward satisfying fulfillment
Along His sufficiency’s complement
For us to be filled with His goodness’ settlement.
Our heart praises and thanks God for guiding us from perilous fright
Toward deliverance-flight
Along His protection and compassion’s light
For us to be pacified with His serene assurance in serving Him with delight.
