Key Verse – Exodus 29:18 And thou shalt burn the whole ram upon the altar: it is a burnt offering unto the LORD: it is a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
HEART THAT OFFERS A SWEET SAVOUR UNTO THE LORD
Our heart offers a sweet savour unto the Lord midst His holiness
Since He imputed to us His righteousness---
So that we can strive by His purity’s brightness
While continuing along His will’s steadfastness.
Our heart offers a sweet savour unto the Lord midst His authority
Since He adopted us as His children by His love’s security---
So that we can live under His dominion’s gracious sovereignty
While confessing His name’s great majesty.
Our heart offers a sweet savour unto the Lord midst His commandment
Since He called us toward His commission-fulfillment---
So that we can obey His precepts, statutes and judgment
While complying to His instructions’ requirement.
Our heart offers a sweet savour unto the Lord midst His standard
Since He appointed us as His steward---
So that we can follow His diligence-pace away from the sluggard
While abiding in His sure safeguard.
Our heart offers a sweet savour unto the Lord midst His Word
Since He taught us to handle it as the Spirit’s sword---
So that we can meditate His law, not feeling bored
While applying His Book’s principles, being divinely mentored.
Our heart offers a sweet savour unto the Lord midst His partnership
Since He freed us from sin-slavery bringing us to His ownership---
So that we can submit ourselves to His leadership
While enjoying with delight’s bliss in His fellowship and worship.
Our heart offers a sweet savour unto the Lord midst His grace
Since He reached down to us by His salvation-brace---
So that we can live for Him all our days
While running victoriously the Christian race.
