HEART THAT OBEYS WHAT THE LORD COMMANDED
Our heart obeys what the Lord commanded us to do everyday
By His gracious dealings along our way
Despite our disobedience and willingness-delay---
Now, we ask for His help in our consecration as we pray.
Our heart obeys what the Lord commanded us for our faith’s gain
By His Scriptures’ truth along righteousness-terrain
Despite our worry and doubt that create in us pain---
Now, we seek for His power against unbelief’s strain.
Our heart obeys what the Lord commanded us, overcoming hindrances
By His miracles of omnipotent forces
Despite our hypocrisies and pretenses---
Now, we depend on His deliverance for our victory-braces.
Our heart obeys what the Lord commanded us with His grace constantly
By His merciful acts persistently
Despite our stubbornness and rebelliousness, from which we repent sincerely---
Now, we beseech for His compassion toward our devotion steadfastly.
Our heart obeys what the Lord commanded us as we trust Him at all times
By His refreshing peace many times
Despite our qualms and anxiety sometimes---
Now, we depend on His might for our revival betimes.
Our heart obeys what the Lord commanded us while we thank Him for our salvation
By His lovingkindness causing our redemption
Despite our iniquity and transgressions’ reaction---
Now, we come to His presence toward our daily sanctification.
Our heart obeys what the Lord commanded us amidst difficulty
By His purging holiness to cleanse our impurity as well as vanity
Despite our incapacity and inability---
Now, we glorify His name in our ministry-involvement with His authority.
