HEART THAT LEARNS TO FEAR THE LORD REVERENTIALLY

March 5 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Deuteronomy 17-20

Key Verse – Deuteronomy 17:19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them.

HEART THAT LEARNS TO FEAR THE LORD REVERENTIALLY Our heart learns to fear the Lord reverentially midst His peacefulness When we are overwhelmed with pressures’ heaviness And filled by vexations’ irritableness--- We stay in His presence of divine blissfulness. Our heart learns to fear the Lord reverentially midst His instruction When we are gripped with persecution And attacked by temptation--- We cling to His deliverance of refreshing restoration. Our heart learns to fear the Lord reverentially midst His authority When we are confused with doubts as well as falsity And troubled by uncertainty--- We abide in His assurance of steadfast security. Our heart learns to fear the Lord reverentially midst His might When we are debilitated with sickness’ blight And weakened by sin’s infectious bite--- We seek His touch of healing aright. Our heart learns to fear the Lord reverentially midst His comfort When we are saddened with vain results in our effort And depressed by jeer instead of cheer consort--- We trust His compassion of caring resort. Our heart learns to fear the Lord reverentially midst His merriment When we are humiliated with hypocrisy’s discontentment And abased by self-glorification’s entanglement--- We pray for His pardon of joyful fulfillment. Our heart learns to fear the Lord reverentially midst His nurture When we are worried by doubt’s torture And distressed because of self-pity’s carnal nature--- We triumph in His Scriptures toward discipleship gesture.
