HEART THAT LEARNS FROM THE LORD WHO IS GREAT
Our heart learns from the Lord Who is great as regards His salvation
Indeed, rescuing us, sinners, once slain in iniquities’ destruction
So that we can live with assured redemption
Along His granted eternal adoption.
Our heart learns from the Lord Who is great as regards His forgiveness
Indeed, transforming us, rebels, once condemned to hell’s awfulness
So that we can walk in His righteousness
Along His divine steadfastness.
Our heart learns from the Lord Who is great as regards His authority
Indeed, sanctifying us, transgressors, once devoid of holiness’ purity
So that we can testify about His powerful majesty
Along His promised everlasting security.
Our heart learns from the Lord Who is great as regards His commitment
Indeed, teaching us fools, once in need of His wisdom’s fulfillment
So that we can gain from His truth for faith-enhancement
Along His heavenly bestowment.
Our heart learns from the Lord Who is great as regards His might
Indeed, dealing with us skeptics, once blinded against spiritual sight
So that we can be illumined for our conversion delight
Along His doctrines, always right.
Our heart learns from the Lord Who is great as regards His perspective
Indeed, correcting us humanists, once negative to Scriptures’ imperative
So that we can surrender to His Word that is constantly assertive
Along His Bible-propelled directive.
Our heart learns from the Lord Who is great as regards His victory
Indeed, enabling us a nobody, once worthy of fury’s misery
So that we can triumph in declaring the Gospel story
Along His glory while serving Him in His territory.
