HEART THAT FOLLOWS THE LORD WHO RULES OVER US

March 21 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Judges 8-9

Key Verse – Judges 8:23 And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.

HEART THAT FOLLOWS THE LORD WHO RULES OVER US Our heart follows the Lord Who rules over us from sinful blight We thank Him for forgiving our confessed transgressions of sincere plight While cleansing us with His purging might Never pushing us toward the filthy along impurities’ height. Our heart follows the Lord Who rules over us from guilty position We thank Him for regarding our repentance from corruption While sanctifying us, guarding us against deception Never driving us toward idolatry and abomination. Our heart follows the Lord Who rules over us from frustrated blaming We thank Him for awakening our souls from worldly dreaming While alerting us against humanism’s harming Never casting us toward vanity soaking and roaming. Our heart follows the Lord Who rules over us from humiliating haughtiness We thank Him for correcting ours mind midst rebelliousness While reaching out to us in His humility’s meekness Never thrusting us toward pride and arrogance-stiffness. Our heart follows the Lord Who rules over us from selfish downfall We thank Him for disciplining our will so that we can give Him our all While imprisoning us within His loving wall Never shutting us toward self-glorifying and self-pitying hall. Our heart follows the Lord Who rules over us from futile mediocrity We thank Him for teaching our spirits the need to learn for fruitful maturity While instilling in us our part in Biblical Christianity Never guiding us toward uncertainty and insecurity. Our heart follows the Lord Who rules over us from selfish motive We thank Him for directing our steps for servanthood that is effective While transforming us by His Word, verily instructive Never tolerating us toward being barren and unproductive.
