HEART THAT FOLLOWS THE LORD WHO IS GOD
Our heart follows the LORD Who is God of our salvation’s joyfulness
As we praise Him with mirth-filled gratefulness
Along worship’s earnestness
By His loving kindness.
Our heart follows the LORD Who is God of our salvation’s light
As we delight in Him with illumined sight
Along wisdom’s plight
By His direction so true and right.
Our heart follows the LORD Who is God of our salvation’s honor
As we rely upon Him with sincere fervor
Along willingness’ clamor
By His merciful ardor.
Our heart follows the LORD Who is God of our salvation’s victory
As we trust Him with jubilant testimonial story
Along Word’s miracle-territory
By His magnificent glory.
Our heart follows the LORD Who is God of our salvation’s restoration
As we thank Him with heartfelt appreciation
Along work’s dedication
By His powerful motivation.
Our heart follows the LORD Who is God of our salvation’s contentment
As we draw nigh to Him with prayerful sentiment
Along watchfulness’ predicament
By His perfecting fulfillment.
Our heart follows the LORD Who is God of our salvation’s magnificence
As we glorify Him, exalting Him with majestic iridescence
Along humility’s essence
By His Word-transforming efflorescence.
