HEART THAT FOLLOWS GOD WHO GOES BEFORE US
God goes before us, assuring the salvation of our soul
As our heart follows Him in our Christian role
Surely blessed completely whole
By His grace along His eternal goal.
God goes before us, directing our intention
As our heart follows Him to serve Him with full devotion
Surely moved by His command me along His instruction
By His power toward fruitfulness’ function.
God goes before us, instilling truth in our mind
As our heart follows Him so His will we can truly find
Surely led to fulfill the tasks that He has assigned
By His calling so definitely assertive, yet very kind.
God goes before us, commending our virtuous desire
As our heart follows Him to love Him most beyond anyone we admire
Surely valued as His treasure He cleansed from sin-mire
By His compassion that keeps us spiritually on fire.
God goes before us, cheering our spirit
As our heart follows Him and prioritizes Him always to be heavenly fit
Surely dealt well gently while pulled from frustration-pit
By His mercy of caring and gentle wit.
God goes before us, developing our personality
As our heart follows Him to walk with Him Who is our sovereign authority
Surely guarded as His children toward faith-maturity
By His Scriptures that are precepts of infallibility and immutability.
God goes before us, empowering us in our life's
As our heart follows Him according to His ways
Surely provided against crises of poverty trace
By His supplies that make us thank Him all the days.
