HEART THAT FINDS STRENGTH IN THE LORD

August 8 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Isaiah 49-53

Key Verse – Isaiah 49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.

HEART THAT FINDS STRENGTH IN THE LORD Our heart finds strength in the Lord against sin-downfall By His forgiveness of pardon’s call Always cleansing our soul from wickedness, whether big or small So that we can stand uprightly tall upon His mercy’s hall. Our heart finds strength in the Lord against error-backsliding By His holiness of graciousness’ upholding Always propping our devotion from defilement’s degrading So that we can forbear godly scolding. Our heart finds strength in the Lord against guilt-pressure By His righteousness of kindness’ measure Always driving our faith from fears’ enclosure So that we can pursue toward heavenly treasure. Our heart finds strength in the Lord against distress-discouragement By His truth of inspiration’s empowerment Always protecting our spirit from worldliness’ enticement So that we can seek His revival fulfillment. Our heart finds strength in the Lord against slothfulness-unproductiveness By His love of servanthood’s effectiveness Always pulling our body from laziness So that we can labour with diligent earnestness. Our heart finds strength in the Lord against vanity-torture By His sufficiency of satisfaction’s gesture Always settling our emptiness from nothingness’ posture So that we can pray upon trust-filled venture. Our heart finds strength in the Lord against anxiety-disposition By His joy of goodness’ provision Always sufficing our discontentment-bouts from dissatisfaction So that we can continue in His constant compassion.
