HEART THAT EXPECTS GREAT ANSWERS OF THE LORD
Our heart expects great answers of the Lord along our motives
That bring us to His will’s perfect incentives
Through His wisdom’s perspectives
Against worldly fatal sedatives.
Our heart expects great answers of the Lord along our priorities
That pull us to His statutes’ authoritative certainties
Through His discretion’s opportunities
Against materialistic vanities.
Our heart expects great answers of the Lord along our victories
That drive us to His triumph’s wondrous glories
Through His principles’ teaching territories
Against sinful doubt-filled worries.
Our heart expects great answers of the Lord along our commitments
That usher us to His instructions’ honourable discernments
Through His leadership’s establishments
Against slothfulness-caused detriments.
Our heart expects great answers of the Lord along our actions
To propel us toward His righteousness’ joyful destinations
Through His holiness’ directions
Against hopeless dysfunctions.
Our heart expects great answers of the Lord along our ways
To fill us with His blessings’ bountiful rays
Through His satisfaction’s trays
Against poverty-stricken days.
Our heart expects great answers of the Lord along our praises
To uphold us by His Word’s Scriptural braces
Through His truth’s forces
Against miserable unbelief-caused curses.
