HEART THAT DWELLS AND REST IN THE LORD
Our heart dwells in the Lord and rest in His truthfulness
During temptations’ destructiveness---
Midst our character-flaw due to worldliness
By His grace, we can strive for holiness.
Our heart dwells in the Lord and rest in His might
During challenges’ difficulties with trials’ fight---
Midst our incapacity around weakness’ blight
By His strength, we can pursue after faith-height.
Our heart dwells in the Lord and rest in His enlightenment
During discipleship’s involvement---
Midst our ignorance around foolishness’ sentiment
By His inspiration, we can stay in wisdom-fulfillment.
Our heart dwells in the Lord and rest in His mercy
During hardships along stewardship’s fervency---
Midst our anxieties around needfulness’ urgency
By His satisfaction, we can enjoy contentment’s sufficiency.
Our heart dwells in the Lord and rest in His presence
During worship and fellowship’s fluorescence---
Midst our sinfulness around iniquity’s license
By His warmth, we can delight in prayer-iridescence.
Our heart dwells in the Lord and rest in His compassion
During backsliding’s instigation to abide in His supervision---
Midst our disobedience around pride’s oppression
By His correction, we can abide in His perfect will’s persuasion.
Our heart dwells in the Lord and rest in His service-victory
During revival’s triumph in proclaiming Gospel’s glory against hell’s fury---
Midst our unwillingness around slothfulness’ injury
By His favour, we can bear fruits in the ministry.
