HEART THAT DESIRES TO JOURNEY WITH THE LORD
Our heart desires to journey with the Lord every moment
Since He upholds us in our holiness-engagement
Truly enclosing us around His divine fulfillment
Never driving us toward sinful entrapment.
Our heart desires to journey with the Lord every second
Since He guards us in our ministry-commitment bond
Truly securing us around His sufficiency-pond
Never pushing us toward fleshly pursuits midst futile investments beyond.
Our heart desires to journey with the Lord every minute
Since He guides us in our earnest decision even in the smallest bit
Truly leading us around His perfect will where we should fit
Never maneuvering us toward quitting exit along destruction-pit.
Our heart desires to journey with the Lord every hour
Since He cares for us in our sad predicament whenever we feel bitter and sour
Truly wrapping us around His warm fellowship of love’s pow’r
Never propelling us toward worldly affairs that readily devour.
Our heart desires to journey with the Lord every day
Since He reaches for us in our anxious sincerity to obey
Truly accompanying us around His mercy-throne for prayer without delay
Never showing us toward doubting sprees of unbelief’s display.
Our heart desires to journey with the Lord every week
Since He seeks for us in our shallow devotion when we are weak
Truly checking us by His wise discernment against deceitfulness’ leak
Never tolerating us of our negligence, correcting us, while we remain meek.
Our heart desires to journey with the Lord every time
Since He welcomes us in our commitment for service of great prime
Truly inviting us around His ministry without hypocrisy’s grime
Never pointing us toward worthless endeavours of vain chime.
