Our heart cries unto the Lord our God in our pain
Caused by sinfulness-sting of transgression-stain…
He is our great Healer, granting wholeness’ gain
Truly, His salvation-ointment is never in vain.
Our heart cries unto the Lord our God in our shame
Caused by pride’s embarrassment and blame…
He is our merciful Encourager with pursuit of forgiveness’ aim
Truly, His meekness humbling us is always aflame.
Our heart cries unto the Lord our God in our ache
Caused by hypocrisy’s pretension, deceitfully fake…
He is our merciful Encourager against cowardice-shake
Truly, His rebuking chastisement is ready to wake.
Our heart cries unto the Lord our God in our shock
Caused by worldliness’ smiting knock…
He is our wise Designer against confusion’s lock
Truly, His quality standard is a perfection-rock.
Our heart cries unto the Lord our God in our woes
Caused by persecutions from attacking foes…
He is our mighty Defender, shielding us from perilous blows
Truly, His protecting safeguard is a fortress as to Him we draw close.
Our heart cries unto the Lord our God in our pouts
Caused by discontentment, worries and doubts…
He is our ready Provider with bountifulness’ shouts
Truly, His abundant satisfaction is away from crises’ routes.
Our heart cries unto the Lord our God in our guilt
Caused by trespasses’ filthy silt…
He is our gracious Transformer with goodness-built
Truly, His kindness-charge is free from evil’s tilt or wilt.
