HEART THAT CLEAVES TO THE MERCIFUL LORD
Our heart cleaves to the merciful Lord Who welcomes us to His fellowship
Even ushering us toward His friendship…
We come to His throne along His offered intimate relationship
Amid joy of wholehearted worship.
Our heart cleaves to the merciful Lord Who restores us with His supply-gain
Even feeding us at His table of satisfaction-reign…
We thank Him for food to eat with nutritious grain
Amid contentment along satisfaction-terrain.
Our heart cleaves to the merciful Lord Who shows us His kindness
Even fetching us out of loneliness…
We bow down to Him with reverence-humbleness
Amid praise with sincere gratefulness.
Our heart cleaves to the merciful Lord Who sets us in His liberty
Even fighting for us midst any adversity…
We hide in His love’s security
Amid submission with earnest honesty.
Our heart cleaves to the merciful Lord Who comforts us by His might
Even strengthening us against adversary’s height…
We draw nigh to His triumphant light
Amid good courage for righteousness-fight.
Our heart cleaves to the merciful Lord Who leads us to His heart
Even upholding us, right from the very start…
We abide in His Word, never to depart
Amid conviction, shielded from worldliness’ dart.
Our heart cleaves to the merciful Lord Who guides us toward heavenly goal
Even propelling us along our divine calling’s role…
We serve Him by His grace with our body and soul
Amid spiritual maturity, making our fulfillment, completely whole.
