HEART THAT CLEAVES TO THE LORD FOR HIS PRESERVATION
Our heart cleaves to the Lord for His preservation of protective zest
While we yield ourselves to Him to be heavenly blest
Truly eager to please Him by faith in our divine quest
Indeed, enjoying His precious gifts, always best.
Our heart cleaves to the Lord for His preservation of Scriptural authority
While we humble ourselves before Him in our infirmity
Truly repentant with utmost sincerity
Indeed, seeking His forgiveness-security.
Our heart cleaves to the Lord for His preservation of abounding grace
While we commit ourselves to Him in running the race
Truly courageous because of His inspiring and cheerful ways
Indeed, depending on His guidance all through our days.
Our heart cleaves to the Lord for His preservation of powerful might
While we submit ourselves to Him along prayerful plight
Truly thankful that He grants our requests with His approval-delight
Indeed, trusting His favour as we do what is right.
Our heart cleaves to the Lord for His preservation of enduring protection
While we offer ourselves to Him, devoid of shallow consecration
Truly diligent in overcoming worldliness’ temptation
Indeed, relying on His goodness for our stewardship-fruition.
Our heart cleaves to the Lord for His preservation of compassionate kindness
While we surrender ourselves to Him with worshipful gratefulness
Truly humble while expectant for His answers against our doubtfulness
Indeed, prioritizing His kingdom and His holiness.
Our heart cleaves to the Lord for His preservation of divine settlement
While we entrust ourselves to Him midst our ministry-involvement
Truly joyful by His Word that drives our service-accomplishment
Indeed, needing His presence constantly toward His kingdom advancement.
