HEART THAT CLEAVES TO THE LORD AND HIS WORD

April 21 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on 2Kings 1-3

Key Verse – 2Kings 1:16 And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

HEART THAT CLEAVES TO THE LORD AND HIS WORD Our heart cleaves to the Lord and His Word everyday With His love of kindness’ ray Against bitterness so gray Away from worthless feelings whenever we pray. Our heart cleaves to the Lord and His Word for our commitment With His wisdom’s settlement Against foolishness’ indictment Away from wavering due to discontentment. Our heart cleaves to the Lord and His Word along His graciousness With His goodness’ gentleness Against secularism’s assertiveness Away from filthiness and selfishness. Our heart cleaves to the Lord and His Word despite our frailty With His supremacy’s sovereignty Against humanism’s vanity Away from carnality’s iniquity that brings futility. Our heart cleaves to the Lord and His Word to uphold our being With His Scriptures’ truth-saying Against worldliness’ denying Away from disobedience that results in grievous crying. Our heart cleaves to the Lord and His Word midst corruption With His salvation’s assurance and protection Against transgressions’ destruction Away from guilt’s oppression and persecution. Our heart cleaves to the Lord and His Word by His leadership With His authority’ steadfastness that offers His partnership Against deception of pride, but toward servanthood’s stewardship Away from vanity so that we can enjoy sincere worship.
