HEART THAT CLEAVES TO THE HAND OF THE LORD
August 30 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Ezekiel 1-4
Key Verse – Ezekiel 1:3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.
HEART THAT CLEAVES TO THE HAND OF THE LORD
Our heart cleaves to the hand of the Lord with His compassion
Such is a great privilege of love’s action
Beyond our awful transgression
Unceasingly securing our precious salvation.
Our heart cleaves to the hand of the Lord with His authority
Such is a protective shield of eternity’s sovereignty
Beyond our rebellious tenacity
Undoubtedly smiting our humanistic audacity.
Our heart cleaves to the hand of the Lord with His omniscience
Such is a vigilant care of watchfulness’ expedience
Beyond our doubt-afflicted conscience
Untiringly sanctifying our wholehearted obedience.
Our heart cleaves to the hand of the Lord with His graciousness
Such is a merciful act of goodness’ kindness
Beyond our hell-bound sinfulness
Unconditionally sealing our perfect redemption-fullness.
Our heart cleaves to the hand of the Lord with His victory
Such is a wondrous performance of might’s glory
Beyond our distressful misery
Undeniably conquering our frustration-causing story.
Our heart cleaves to the hand of the Lord with His guidance
Such is a wise instruction of favor’s assurance
Beyond our arrogant defiance
Undauntedly controlling our stubborn resistance.
Our heart cleaves to the hand of the Lord with His leadership
Such is a gentle power of directorship’s workmanship
Beyond our stubborn followership
Unfailingly blessing our faithful stewardship.
