HEART THAT CLEAVES TO GOD WHOSE COVENANT IS SURE
Our heart cleaves to God whose covenant is sure for our cleansing
Since He forgives our sins toward repentance-filled blessing
Indeed, sanctifying us in our humble confessing…
Verily, we are purified from iniquity’s compassing.
Our heart cleaves to God whose covenant is sure for our restoration
Since He assures our souls of eternal salvation
Indeed, pacifying us from doubts’ intervention…
Verily, we are settled in His redemption’s perfection.
Our heart cleaves to God whose covenant is sure for our commitment
Since He strengthens our faith toward kingdom-advancement
Indeed, guarding us against worldliness’ entrapment…
Verily, we are upheld toward doing His commandment.
Our heart cleaves to God whose covenant is sure for our revival
Since He inspires our spirits against carnality’s interval
Indeed, driving us along heavenly upheaval…
Verily, we are rejuvenated to wait for His arrival.
Our heart cleaves to God whose covenant is sure for our comfort
Since He cares for our welfare with divine effort
Indeed, prospering us as to Him we always resort…
Verily, we are contented by His presence that His Word does exhort.
Our heart cleaves to God whose covenant is sure for our reward
Since He handles our service in His labour-vineyard
Indeed, guiding us in bearing fruits being His steward…
Verily, we are led through His discipleship-fulfillment yard.
Our heart cleaves to God whose covenant is sure for our victory
Since He directs our vision through His Gospel story
Indeed, instructing us to stay in His will of perfect territory…
Verily, we are commanded to do our best for His glory.
