May 25 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Nehemiah 4-5
Key Verse – Nehemiah 4:20 In what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us.
HEART THAT CLEAVES TO GOD WHO SHALL FIGHT FOR US
Our heart cleaves to God Who shall fight for each of us – as His dear child
He loves us, though sometimes, we are worldly wild
Always keeping us from becoming defiled
Thus, we cherish His care, gentle and mild.
Our heart cleaves to God Who shall fight for each of us – as His ordained steward
He molds us to go through faith-maturity upward
Always propelling us so we will never turn backward
Thus, we trust His guidance as we march forward.
Our heart cleaves to God Who shall fight for each of us – as His chosen servant
He prods us against becoming stagnant
Always cheering us toward labour-sacrifice in His service that is never vacant
Thus, we obey His commandments even if our flesh often does not want.
Our heart cleaves to God Who shall fight for each of us – as His called follower
He guides us with His mighty power
Always enabling us against arrogance-tower
Thus, we praise Him for His grace and do our best as a diligent Gospel seed-sower.
Our heart cleaves to God Who shall fight for each of us – as His enlightened student
He makes us wise and with His Word, enables us to be prudent
Always directing us to His truth that is divinely ardent
Thus, we seek His precepts, sovereignly provident.
Our heart cleaves to God Who shall fight for each of us – as His privileged ambassador
He sends us for reaching-out along great commission's pursuit outdoor
Always keeping us in His control despite our humanistic ardor
We bow to His authority with humility’s candor.
Our heart cleaves to God Who shall fight for each of us – as His saved believer
He exhorts us to testify about His redemption against any peace-wrecker
Always blessing us in our being a soulwinner
We abide in His perfect will, thanking Him, our eternal life-giver.
