HEART THAT BELIEVES THE LORD WHO PERFORMS WHAT HE SAYS

April 17 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on 1Kings 12-14

Key Verse – 1Kings 12:15 Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the Lord, that he might perform his saying, which the Lord spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

HEART THAT BELIEVES THE LORD WHO PERFORMS WHAT HE SAYS Our heart believes the Lord Who performs what He says with His grace Surely making us obtain favour in His sight, despite our sinfulness’ trace Indeed, upholding our salvation by His compassion’s brace Ever kind to accept our worshipful praise. Our heart believes the Lord Who performs what He says with His goodness Surely forgiving us of our admitted selfishness Indeed, accepting our repentant earnestness Ever merciful to pardon our filthiness. Our heart believes the Lord Who performs what He says with His guidance Surely directing us toward His deliverance Indeed, guarding our decisions against ignorance Ever authoritative to subdue our arrogance. Our heart believes the Lord Who performs what He says with His generosity Surely providing us according to His rich bounty Indeed, meeting our needs to vanquish poverty and futility Ever magnanimous to fill our dearth or scarcity. Our heart believes the Lord Who performs what He says with His gripping Surely enclosing us inside His care against fright-caused groping Indeed, warming our spirit around His revival’s wrapping Ever gentle to soothe our soul of painful hurt’s griping. Our heart believes the Lord Who performs what He says with His glory Surely hearing us in our lamenting misery, as well as in our triumphant story Indeed, attending to our prayer and confession expressing sorry and fury Ever timely to grant our expected faith-propped victory. Our heart believes the Lord Who performs what He says with His glow Surely cheering us by His provisions along blessings’ flow Indeed, supplying our spiritual fuel against faithlessness-woe Ever ready to rejuvenate our revival fire from distress’ blow.
